Hey Son,
It’s hard to believe that your first birthday is just around the corner, but here we are. This weekend, Nana and Grandpa Steve are driving up from Florida to see you. And EVERYONE is coming down from NJ to celebrate (your Mom is making them all book hotel rooms except for Nono and Nona).
You’re just starting to sleep through the night (when we’re lucky) but you still wake up for one bottle most of the time. You are a hungry baby and eat everything in site!
This past weekend, we went up to the cabin for Memorial Day and went on our first hike. You love being outside. Dad was so nervous hiking up to the top of Table Rock with you on my back, but we made it! And you fell asleep on the way down!
When we got home, we took you to the pool since you are already trying to swim in the bathtub! You love the water and have so much fun in there every night. The favorite part of my day is coming home to you and watching your Mom give you a bath. You love your Mama so much. You love being held and you love “Dancing with the Daddy.” You start to dance anytime you hear music playing and crawl over to Dad as fast as you can so I can pick you up.
You’re not walking yet, but me and Mom both know you can. You’re just extra careful about standing now (even though you throw your body around like a wrestler most of the time). The other day, you took your first step towards Daddy, but I’m not even sure you realized you did it. Nono thinks you’re waiting for him this weekend.
We’ll see bud. You are more and more fun each day.
Love, Dad
